Meeting Room

STEM program for youth happening in the Meeting Room

The Meeting Room at the Dorchester County Public Library's Cambridge Branch is a unique space where organizations can work to meet the needs of our community countywide. Spacious, with a small kitchen and bathrooms included, it is able to handle up to 83 guests at one time. The Library offers this space as a free community resource, with the intent that it is used for events that are free and open to the public. We also use the Meeting Room to host a variety of library-sponsored programs for kids and adults alike.

Meeting Room Policy

Use of this space is limited to nonprofit community organizations. No fees may be charged for admittance nor may any products be sold or advertised on the premises. All events must be open to the general public. The space may not be used for social gatherings or partisan political purposes.

The Library allows reserved use of the room but not all programs that take place therein are supported by or connected to the Library. *Please note that any reading-related reservations should not use the terms “Story Time” or “Story Time and Craft” as those are key library employee functions in which we invest much training and resources.

To access the space, an adult with a Maryland library card must check out a key. Keys may only be checked out during regular library hours. For more information, please consult the full policy.
