- Churn Dash - Jean Whatley
- Sometimes this pattern is called shoo fly. This is Mrs. Whatley's millennium
quilt, made in March 2000. It is machine pieced by Mrs. Whatley and machine quilted by Betty Evans of St. Michaels. The
exciting part about sewing this quilt for Mrs. Whatley was the ease with which each square went together with
all the seams going in the proper direction with little or no concentration.
It is made for her dear friend Donna Harms. "Donna's patience, comfort, understanding,
tolerance, flexibility along with many other assets to her personality have allowed
me to learn from her and to grow more fond of her."
