The library has many different kinds of materials for you to borrow and
these items should be returned on time.
The due date is stamped inside the back cover or last page of a book, or the
cover of a DVD, videotape box, magazine, or CD case. Patrons can also check the
due dates of items under "My Account" in the library catalog. If an item is returned late, an extended loan fee
must be paid. The library collects extended loan fees to discourage members from keeping
materials too long. The extended loan fees which the library collects are used to buy
more library materials for members to use.

* The sum total of Playaways, DVD's and videotapes is limited to 5.
Books, magazines, audio books, Playaways, DVD's, videotapes and
music CD's may be returned to any public library in
Maryland. AV equipment and Interlibrary
Loan materials must be returned to the outlet from which they were borrowed.
Computers and an electric typewriter are available for on-site use at both
library branches.
The Central and Hurlock Libraries have copying machines available for public use. The machines will
also enlarge and reduce the size of the material copied.
Library materials may be renewed unless another patron has placed a reserve on
that item. Items may be renewed online, over the telephone or in person. If a
patron accumulates more than $5.00 in charges, he may not check out or renew
materials until that amount has been paid down. Inter-library loan materials and
audio-visual materials may not be renewed.
If demand is especially high, it may be necessary to limit the number of items which a library member may
borrow on one topic. This may occur with regard to school assignments.
