Loan Periods for Library Materials and Fine Schedule |
|
The library has many different kinds of materials for you to borrow and these items should be returned on time. If an item is returned late, a fine must be paid. The library collects fines to discourage members from keeping materials too long. The fines which the library collects are used to buy more library materials for members to use. Books, Paperbacks, Audiotapes, CD's, Magazines and Pamphlets
Videotapes
AV Equipment
Interlibrary Loan
You can tell when the item you borrow is due back by looking at the most recent date stamped on the date due card in the book pocket. Books, paperbacks, magazines, pamphlets, audiotapes, videotapes and CD's may be checked out and returned to any library outlet (Central Library in Cambridge, Hurlock Branch, or Bookmobile). AV equipment and Interlibrary Loan materials must be returned to the outlet from which they were borrowed. An electric typewriter is available at the Central and Hurlock Libraries for in-house use by adult library members and by students who have had typing instruction. Computers are also available for in-house use. The Central and Hurlock Libraries have copying machines available for public use. The machines will also enlarge and reduce the size of the material copied. Because our collection is of a limited size, equipment and videotapes cannot be renewed. Other library materials may be renewed once if any overdue fines have been paid and those materials have not been reserved for use by other patrons. If demand is especially high, it may be necessary to limit the number of items which a library member may borrow on one topic. This may occur with regard to school assignments. |
